I present to you "Travel Hangman". http://www.paul-johnson.co.uk/forum-images/hang.gif It's like normal hangman, except it's travel related. It might be a place, the name of a company, something that you do when you travel anything that's got something to do with travel. OK, first off we need some rules: 1. You are allowed up to 12 wrong guesses a guess could be the suggestion of a letter or the suggestion of the whole thing 2. Nobody is allowed to make a guess until the person that's started the game has responded to any outstanding guesses. For example, if someone guesses 'A', you must first wait for the originator of the game to confirm whether there is or isn't an 'A' in the word. I am going to be visiting New York for a few days in about 6 weeks. This is more of a visit to say I have been there, and seen that for some of the attractions then anything.
But I am wondering just how much time do you really need in New York. The main things I want to see are the Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Times Square and possibly Ground Zero.
My thoughts were that this might be possible in 3 days, although would be happy if I could do it in 2 days (price of accomadation and all. Which leads to the next question what is the best area to stay in. If it means it will save me time in getting around I am happy to pay a bit more for the hotel.

I'm travelling to Johannesburg on the 28th of january. Once at the Johannesburg airport, I'd like to go straight away to Namibia. I've already booked my flight tickets with Emirates from Paris to Johannesburg, so there's no way for me to change the arrival airport.
I'd like to know more details about : how to get to the city of Windhoek, Namibia, from Johannesburg, South Africa? What is the best and the cheapest way to get there? I'll land in Johannesburg in the morning, so I'll have the afternoon to start the journey to Namibia.
I'm ready to take the bus, taxis, plane (I heard it's pretty expensive though).
Would appreciate any info.

I think it said 95% of all Sydney hotels had at least one infected room at the time of the Olympics and now 75% of all hotels in Australia have at least one infected room.

I have a quick query regarding the elections in Goa
I have heard varying rumours regarding the impact state elections are having upon Goa at the moment and am hoping someone can help clear it up a bit for me.
I plan on arriving in South Goa (either Agonda, Palolem or Patnem) on 18th Feb. I understand alcohol bans and curfews will be in place during this time. From what I understand this is already in place in south goa.
I am not a drinker(This is very strange being from Scotland, I know!) and so alcohol restrictions do not bother me. Early closing times are not a problem for me either.
Here is my worry . I have heard that instead of cancelling parties they are simply being moved to earlier hours. I could do without hearing loud trance music from the beach and as a solo female I worry a bit about being surrounded by inebriated people all day....
